After years of karate training (33 in all) I knew that something wasn’t quite right. I regarded myself being a good puncher but once up against an extremely bigger heavier trained opponent I discovered they was able to take the punches. was I looking to be a superhero?, no, even so I have spent virtually all my life focused on martial arts training so i wanted to know that my training works if my life or the life of my loved ones if they ever relied on it.

One of the great things about running a small business is they usually grow out of a passion, or an avid interest in a topic. In my case, the business was borne out of two. Gold Coast Surfboards was borne out of a passion for surfing and a passion for travel.
